Dr. Littlejohn of Stamford Hospital is the New Presidentod ASCRS

Crown congratulates Dr. Charles Littlejohn, of Stamford Hospital, on becoming President of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS). His selection marks the Society's first appointee from the State of Connecticut.

ASCRS is a global association of surgeons and other professionals who are dedicated to the prevention and management of all colorectal disorders through research and education.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the US, affecting more than 135,00 men and women.* The Bennett Cancer Center, part of Stamford Hospital, offers a wide range of services specific to colorectal cancer, from routine screening to diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Littlejohn has been with Stamford Hospital since 1984. As Chief of Colorectal Surgery at Stamford Hospital, Dr. Littlejohn has been an active member of the society and has held numerous local and national leadership positions.
